About Dr. Cotliar
Jeremy M. Cotliar is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Eye Care & Surgery in New York City, which has two locations in Washington Heights, Manhattan, and another near the Grand Concourse in the Bronx, right across the street from Yankee Stadium. Dr. Cotliar received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College in New York. Dr. Cotliar completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. He then completed a year of training in glaucoma eye surgery at the University of California at Irvine, followed by a mini-LASIK fellowship with Dr. Michael Vrabec of Appleton, Wisconsin.
Dr. Cotliar is certified and experienced in minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), including iStent, Kahook Dual-Blade goniotomy, OMNI canaloplasty/ goniotomy, Iridex micropulse laser, and many other procedures. Dr. Cotliar tailors individual plans for all of his surgery patients.
Dr. Cotliar is a member of the voluntary ophthalmology faculty at New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University, where he trains residents and fellows in cataract, glaucoma, pterygium, and other anterior segment eye surgeries.
Dr. Cotliar maintains his advanced credentials with continuing education to stay up to date with the latest developments in ophthalmology. He’s a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), and the American Glaucoma Society.
Dr. Cotliar has surgical privileges at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in Manhattan’s East Village. He is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to Eye Care & Surgery.
